Our clients approached us to design a bespoke new-build home that would make the most of its stunning rural location. The project aimed to create a contemporary property with double-height spaces, and extensive glazing to maximise light and capture panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The design process involved careful consideration of the site’s context and materials. We selected natural stone and glazing to ensure the home would sit sympathetically within its landscape while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

The sensitive rural setting has required us to address the local authority’s requirements, balancing the client’s aspirations for a bold, contemporary design with the need to respect the surrounding environment.

The resulting design provides a framework for a home that will combine modern living with a strong connection to its beautiful setting.
