Our clients were a retired couple who wanted to create their dream home by converting a dilapidated cow barn that overlooked the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. We proposed an extension to the barn, allowing the owners to maximise their view of the stunning landscape with high-impact gable-end glazing.

Initial planning applications were rejected because the project exceeded the greenbelt allowance by 30%, including other extensions proposed within the plan. We worked with the planning department, and this was overturned at appeal. 

The completed barn conversion project floods the home with natural light and blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.
